What is A2 Bilona Ghee & Bilona method ?

A2 Bilona Ghee is traditionally prepared clarified butter made from milk of indigenous Gir cows. The ghee is produced by culturing milk into curd, churning butter from curd, and slowly heating it to obtain ghee.
Bilona is a traditional Ayurvedic method where butter is churned from curd using a wooden churner and then slowly heated to make ghee. This method preserves nutrients and natural aroma.

Why is ghee made from curd better?

According to Ayurveda, ghee made from cultured butter (curd) is easier to digest and richer in beneficial compounds compared to ghee made directly from cream.

Why is A2 ghee expensive?

Traditional Bilona ghee requires significantly more milk and manual labour. Approximately 25–30 litres of milk are required to produce 1 litre of ghee.
